"I left feeling taller, lighter, and wishing I'd booked a longer session!"
"I really enjoyed that when I got to my appointment with Adinah she took about five minutes to clarify with me why I was there, what things in my life were affecting my body, and how she could best help me. During the massage she patiently and gently worked out one ache, pain, and knot after another, about half of which I hadn't even been aware of going in. I left feeling taller, lighter, and wishing I'd booked a longer session!"
"You help me keep more in touch with my body"
We met just after I had returned from a 31-hour trip from Kathmandu to Portland, and my neck and shoulders were screaming for some attention. I was at Whole Foods for some basic supplies, and there you were, offering free head and neck massage! After my 15 minutes of attention ended way too soon, I made an appointment with you for the next week, and have been returning ever since. You always find the tight, tense spots, even if I forget to tell you where they are, and focus special attention on those places. Your massages are deep and therapeutic, not always comfortable when you find those aching spots or for a few days afterward, but ultimately helping me to be more in touch with my body, increasing my overall physical and (yes) mental ability. At the end of each session, you suggest stretches and exercises that help.
"Wonderful support and treatment"
I went to Adinah at Lifelong Wellness Center for treatment of my shoulders, both of which underwent recent arthroscopic surgery to repair SLAP lesions. I had tried both acupuncture and chiropractic services but met with mixed results. I still suffered from pain in my shoulders when typing and in recreational activities such as rock climbing. The therapy that Adinah provided went hand-in-hand with my rehabilitation regimen to offer remarkable results in about two months time. My pain receded gradually and I became increasingly capable of returning to my former quality of life. In the sessions themselves Adinah took care to focus on my specific trouble spots and provided calm instructions for focusing on and dealing with the pain and tensions in my body. This sort of process was new to me, but I soon learned that part of restoring prior function is in learning to relax mentally as well as physically. Thanks Adinah for the wonderful support and treatment!

"A treat for both body and mind"
Going to Lifelong Wellness Center has been both a treat for my body and my mind. When I first started going I had pain in my shoulder, my wrists, my hands and my surgically repaired knee. I really didn't know how much massage therapy could help, but I needed to try something because the pain was starting to affect my quality of life. The first thing Adinah had me do is explain where I had pain and then prioritize the importance. From there we started targeting the problem areas with a combination of massage and education. Each session would consist of her not only massaging me but also explaining how my muscles worked together and what I could do outside of the sessions to help reduce my level of pain. Within a few weeks I started to notice a great reduction in my pain, especially on a day to day basis. It's now been over 4 months since my first appointment and my wrists and hands are pain free and the frequency of pain in my shoulder and knee has been greatly reduced. On top of that, I'm now more in touch with how my body works and what I need to do to keep it in a healthy and happy state.
"I found tremendous value out of receiving Adinah's massage services. She is very talented, knowledgeable and professional. She has a holistic approach that really helped me use massage to actually assess and heal different parts of my body. I highly recommend her services."
